Based on the theme I have determined, I conducted a brainstorming (left image) to identify many things that I have changed to do. For example, learning more about coffee varieties, conducting research on coffee packaging, and searching for elements related to ual. I also learned some knowledge about colour in Tutor class. I realize the relationship between warmth and coldness in colours, and what is a comfortable colour scheme. This is a very meaningful lesson because my sensitivity to colour has always been low and I always create based on my feelings. With the theory, I can think rationally about some colour combinations.

Knowledge

In order to design the packaging of coffee cups, I learned about some types of cof- fee. Understanding the characteristics and uniqueness of each coffee can help you create packaging that resonates with your target audience and effectively convey the quality of the product.I have learned about the process of making coffee, which allows me to think from more perspectives to de- sign works.

Process

This is my line process. In order to appear more professional, I used smooth lines to draw. Smooth lines have elegant qualities that can add a touch of elegance to my design. They create a sense of fluidity and refinement, giving my artwork or packaging a more refined aesthetic.I drew a group of college students enjoying coffee in order to make customers feel the delicious taste of coffee. I unified the style to make this series look complete.

Relisation

In addition to packaging coffee cups and paper bags, after one-on-one tutorial, I came up with the idea of creating a point card. For example, customers can receive a free cup of coffee or a small gift of tape after eight purchases. I think this way can be used to attract more repeat customers. I referenced the design of the card from the manual to create a similar style.So I also expressed these ideas in the form of mockup.

I have chosen some comfortable colors to match my visual style. I think soft and warm colors can enhance visual comfort. The audience will feel relaxed and at ease, creating a sense of familiarity with the work. This level of comfort can help the audience better appreciate and enjoy the work, enhancing their liking and interest in the work.

This is a mock up of some paper bags and coffee cups. Mock-ups give a visual depiction of how the finished design would appear in actual use. They ensure that everyone is on the same page by enabling designers and clients to visualise and comprehend the design concept. For customer presentations and getting feedback, mock-ups are crucial. In the final presentation section, the company staff can also provide some opinions and insights on my mockup.I did a lot of mockups to showcase my work more comprehensively. They showcase my ability to translate concepts into tangible, visually appealing designs. In this experience, I realized that mockup is a valuable tool in the design process that helps with visualization, communication, evaluation, and decision-making. They bridge the gap between concept and reality, ensuring that the design meets customer expectations, functional requirements, and aesthetic goals.

I have searched for some mock-ups to support my illustrations. They play a crucial role in the design and presentation process. When I arranged all the types of coffee together, I felt that what I made gradually formed a whole. And there is hope that it will be produced. This makes me excited and eager to create more works.

Communication

In the final outcome, the company staff suggested that I draw my mouth on the coffee beans to show a more vivid expression. I think this is a very useful suggestion. Additionally, I have received advice from my tutorial and friends. On the left, the tutorial believes that these designs are more suitable for children, and my friend also mentioned similar points. I think this is something I am not aware of myself, so I am very grateful for their comments. I hope to consider the audience’s conformity style more in my next creation.

Reflection

I am honored to participate in the cooperation with this company. This allows me to learn the process of future work as soon as pos- sible. This kind of opportunity is very valuable for your personal and professional development. This will provide opportunities to learn and collaborate with experienced colleagues, benefiting from their experience and insights. I still have many shortcomings this time, such as style issues and considering audience surveys. But I enjoyed the entire process be- cause it was my first time participating in the design of food pack- aging. Being able to obtain guidance from professionals is a very valuable experience. In my next creation, I will do more research and experimentation.
